The Winterville Book Collection & Book Illustrations

The Winterville Book Collection is a trilogy of books written by Francis Wood and illustrated by Dan Larsen. Dan and Francis have long shared an admiration for each other’s work, and we are proud that Dan’s SnowPeople have provided Francis with the inspiration to write these wondrous short stories of the Snowpeople’s life in faraway Winterville.

Each book is a collection of stand-alone short stories about the life and times of the Snowpeople of Winterville.

Winterville is a parallel universe where all snowmen, snowwomen and snowchildren go when they melt. They don't die; they live forever in Winterville. The stories are packed with adventure and appeal to children and adults of all ages. Some of the characters reappear in each of the books and there are many new characters in each book.

The books also offer many messages and lessons about hope, love of life and wholesome values, which are suitable for kids and adults.

The artist has visited elementary and middle schools to talk with the student bodies and faculty about the literature and the lessons in successful living and happiness which they offer.
